Watch: Fisherman winched off vessel off Canterbury coast after falling ill

A fisherman has been plucked off a boat 80 nautical miles off the coast of Canterbury after suffering from a medical condition.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter made the hour-long flight to the fishing boat, where a crewman then winched the sick seafarer off the bow of the ship.

The fisherman is now recovering in hospital.
