England captain Owen Farrell has again escaped any form of punishment for a blatant high tackle, this time coming for Saracens against Worcester in the English Premiership.
Farrell, 28, has come under fire over his tackle technique in the past, getting away with hits on South Africa's Andre Esterhuizen in November 2018, before a similar tackle on Wallabies forward Izack Rodda the next month.
This time, Farrell went in high and with the shoulder on Worcester winger Tom Howe, with the incident sent up to the TMO.
However, Worcester were left stunned as referee Craig Maxwell-Keys ruled that Farrell's high shot had come under "mitigating circumstances."
To make matters worse, Worcester would lose lock Anton Bresler to the sin bin not long after, following a dangerous clear-out on prop Mako Vunipola.
Fans took to Twitter to vent their dismay at Farrell's repeat infringements, writing:
"Farrell will get away with it. Until he gets punishment he'll carry on," said Victoria Squires.
"How long will he keep getting away with this," asked RugbyInsideLine.
"Farrell has made a career in getting away with shoulder to head tackles," said Ian Titherington.
Farrell's Saracens would take a convincing 62-5 victory, which also saw a horrific injury to Kiwi Michael Fatialofa.
