One person injured after light plane crashes at Motueka Airport

One person has been injured after a light aircraft crashed on the runway at Motueka Airport, flipping upside down and leaking fuel.

Police confirmed they were called to Motuka Airport today after the plane encountered difficulty landing.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand says everyone got out of the plane.

St John treated one patient with minor injuries.

Two fire trucks attended the incident.
