Armed police descend on property in Tauranga in early morning callout

The Armed Offenders Squad responded to an incident at a property in Bellevue, Tauranga.

Police told 1 NEWS they were called to the property about 12.25am today. 

They were called to the property following a "report of concern".

The Police Negotiation Team also attended and cordons were put in place.

Police have said there is no risk to the wider public. 

A St John spokesperson later told 1 NEWS two people were transported to Tauranga Hospital. Both were in a minor condition.
