Body discovered in partially submerged car in King Country stream

Te Kūiti police have recovered a body from a vehicle in the Mangaokewa Stream, King Country.

The vehicle was reported partially submerged in high waters by Rangitoto Road at around 10.30am today, police say.

Police are working to identify the body and inquiries are ongoing.

The death will be referred to the coroner.
