Missing Auckland woman with dementia found safe and well

Police have confirmed that a 72-year-old woman who went missing from here home in Otara, Auckland yesterday has been found.

A plea for information on sightings of Simeli Vaeau was sent out by police yesterday afternoon after she had been missing since about 9.30am.

It was reported that the woman suffered from dementia, and may not have had access to her medication.

Police said she was found safe and well with family, and they thanked those who had come forward with information.
