Man charged after fleeing driver incident in Auckland

A man has been arrested and charged after a police pursuit in the Auckland suburb of Papakura today.

Police say a stolen vehicle failed to stop for officers at around 6.25am.

They say they followed the vehicle and found it abandoned in Royston Street.

A 25-year-old man will appear in court later today charged with failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.
