Worker dies after becoming pinned between two trees near Feilding

One person is dead after becoming trapped between two trees while working on a property near Feilding today.

Emergency services are currently at the scene at a private property on Finnis Road, Pohangina.

St John say they were called to the property around 11:50pm. One person has died following the incident.

WorkSafe say they were "notified of a forestry fatality in Pohangina earlier today.

"We are making inquiries to establish what our next steps will be."
