A house has been destroyed by a fire in Taumarunui today.

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson told 1 NEWS the fire was located on Kenheath Place.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 3:30pm. The blaze was caused by a rubbish fire which spread to the house.

An adjoining house was also damaged in the fire.

No one was injured in the fire.
