Emergency services were called to a flight from Tauranga to Wellington this morning after a e-vapour device was accidentally switched on during the flight.
Emergency services were requested to meet NZ8265 as a precaution after the vape, belonging to a customer, went off, Air New Zealand said in a statement.
Cabin crew were following standard procedure, they said.
The device was immediately put out.
