Sophie Pascoe celebrates winning gold at the World Para Swimming Championships

Sophie Pascoe has finished her World Para Swimming Championships in style, winning her fourth gold medal in London this morning.

Having already won gold in the women's S9 100-metre butterfly, S9 100-metre backstroke and S9 100-metre freestyle, Pascoe was again in action this morning, competing in the S9 50-metre freestyle.

Pascoe would blitz the field in her final race, claiming victory and setting a new championship record in 27.77 seconds.

The win was New Zealand's sixth gold medal at the championships - four of which were won by Pascoe, the other two to Cameron Leslie, as well as one silver.

This morning's success was Pascoe's 12th career world title.
