Job done, bring on the World Cup. That's the message from Steve Hansen following his side's 92-7 victory over Tonga in Hamilton.

In the final Test match before the start of the Rugby World Cup, the All Blacks put Tonga to the sword, running in 14 tries and conceding just one, with no lingering injury concerns over any members of the side.

Speaking to media after his side's win, Hansen explained his satisfaction at the All Blacks' performance.

"Everyone got a good run, and no injuries," he said.

"We played some good footy, and got the opportunity to cement some combinations and finished a good week's work.

"We got rugby time. We got collision time. We got set piece time. We got time on the ball under pressure and time on the ball in open space. That's what rugby's about."

Hansen also says that the win will serve as key preparation for the All Blacks' Rugby World Cup opener, taking on rivals South Africa in Yokohama on September 21.

"We play a massive game in two weeks' time. If we didn't have any of that today, we'd be in massive trouble.

"We got exactly out of it what we needed to get out of it.

"The score was irrelevant, it's what we did, and I'm very happy with what we did."
