Out injured for this year's Rugby World Cup in Japan, All Black Damian McKenzie has faced a different challenge, getting into his undies to model for Jockey at New Zealand Fashion Week,
Side-lined for the rest of 2019 with a knee injury, McKenzie hit the runway for the third year in a row, the Chiefs and All Blacks star admitting he still isn't used to this sort of limelight.
"It doesn't get any easier, nerves are starting to come on," McKenzie told 1 NEWS.
"It's just quite fun, it gets you out of your comfort zone, but like I said, it's pretty nerve wracking.
"Hopefully I manage to stay on two feet and get down the runway and get back safely."
Having been out of action since April, McKenzie says that any nerves he has playing rugby don't compare to what he feels before modelling.
"I get probably a bit more nervous walking down a runway with not too many clothes on than running out for a game.
"It's definitely a bit different than what I'm used to."
