An emu has been Tasered after causing chaos during peak hour traffic in Canada.

The bird, Paul Parker, was seen running back and forth on a road after escaping from a farm.

Police were forced to Taser him after he became violent and aggressive with officers attempting to bring the metre-and-a-half-tall bird under control.

Paul Parker has since been returned home and is doing well.
