One dead after vehicle crashes into culvert in Northland

One person has died after vehicle crashed into a culvert in Ruawai, Northland this afternoon.

Emergency services were alerted to the crash on Te Kowhai Road in the small town south of Dargaville at approximately 4.25pm.

Police are still at the scene, with motorists using Te Kowhai Road warned to expect delays with diversions in place.

The serious crash unit will be attending.
