Wellington's Mt Victoria tunnel re-opens after crash causes rush-hour nightmare

The capital's Mt Victoria tunnel has now re-opened following a rush-hour crash that has caused traffic delays in both directions.

Police were called at about 5.15pm to the scene, where two vans and a motorbike had collided in the tunnel.

Wellington Free Ambulance was notified and the NZ Transport Authority advised an alternative route due to heavy delays in both directions.

One person was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
