Meet Blair Vining, the dying Southland farmer fighting for better cancer care

When Blair Vining was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he had no idea that he’d end up becoming the charismatic talisman for a national movement.

Blair is a Southland farmer, a family man and a fighter. But a terminal cancer diagnosis and the treatment which he endured in the public health system saw him put, not himself, but all of us first. He’s now pushing for better national cancer care.

He and his wife Melissa are pressing the Government so that others won’t have to suffer like they have.

The 38-year-old has endured a tortuous journey through the public health system and for the first time he’s ready to tell the fully story.
