Often overlooked in favour of more glamourous teammates, Crusaders and All Blacks flanker Matt Todd is ready to take his latest Test opportunity with both hands.
Todd, 31, has been named to start in the All Blacks' coveted number seven jersey this weekend, with both Sam Cane and Ardie Savea having travelled to and from Argentina in the past week.
Fronting media in Wellington today though, Todd made it clear that he's relishing another chance to show his wares as an All Black.
"Obviously, [I'm] very happy and excited," Todd said.
"When Steve [Hansen] told me I was very happy, and just can't wait for Saturday really."
Having made his debut in 2013, Todd has appeared just 13 times as an All Black, having to play second fiddle to the likes of Richie McCaw, and now Sam Cane and Ardie Savea.
