Man allegedly spotted with weapon at Lower Hutt supermarket arrested

Police have arrested a man who was allegedly spotted with a weapon at a Lower Hutt supermarket.

They were called to the incident at the New World supermarket on Oates Street just after 7pm.

A police spokesperson told 1 NEWS they now have one man in custody.

There have been no reports of injuries.
