'Growing up I used to love the Warriors' - new recruit Kodi Nikorima touches down in NZ

Warriors' new recruit Kodi Nikorima has touched down in New Zealand, arriving this afternoon at Auckland Airport.

The former Broncos half told 1 NEWS he's fizzing to play for his favourite NRL team as a kid.

"Just happy to be a part of team that when growing up, I used to love the Warriors," said Nikorima.

"Obviously awesome, exciting not only for myself but for my family.

"Looking forward to watching the game tomorrow and see the boys go to work. Watched them last week and thought the put in a tremendous effort."

The Warriors host the Newcastle Knight tomorrow afternoon at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland.

The 25-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Warriors this week and is expected to be available to play next week for the New Zealand club against St George Illawarra.
