PM Jacinda Ardern takes to the phones as Plunket helpline operator for service's 25th anniversary

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern surprised one lucky caller today as Plunket celebrated 25 years of PlunketLine.

Helping more than two million parents and caregivers, the 24/7 helpline receives more than 300 calls every day.

The Prime Minister took to the phones, introduced herself to the caller and offered some mothers tips but steered clear of passing on professional advice.

"The support for Plunket is universal in Parliament," Ms Ardern said.

Green MP and Minister for Women Julie Anne Genter also celebrated Plunket's milestone.
