Police cordon off part of Christchurch street after gunshots reported in area

Police have cordoned off part of a central Christchurch street after gunshots were reported in the area.

According to police someone who is "familiar with firearms" reported hearing gunshots on Hereford Street, near England Street.

The immediate area has been cordoned off and police are speaking with people to gather more information.
