Chiefs skipper Brodie Retallick revealed his keen interest in fishing and said he is hoping to have a more successful trip out on the water come Thursday.
Retallick told 1 NEWS the last time he went fishing, he had to throw his catch back at sea.
"I did have one day fishing [during time off], I managed to catch two undersized snapper that had to be chucked back," said Brodie.
"It was very rough and that was about the highlight of the day."
Retallick is teaming up with The Rock radio station for promotional purposes, set to go on a fishing trip on Thursday.
"Hopefully the boys from The Rock look after me and got the life jackets ready.
"I'm looking forward to getting three quarters of the day out fishing on Thursday and having a bit of fun."
The Chiefs host the Blues this Saturday in the Super Rugby round nine clash at FMG Stadium in Hamilton.
