Warriors coach Stephen Kearney has thrown his backing behind young half Chanel Harris-Tavita following his solid NRL debut at the weekend.
At just 20, Harris-Tavita started his first NRL match for the Warriors in the 26-10 win over the Titans, looking assured in possession as well as taking goal kicking duties for the side.
With the Warriors gearing up to face the Rabbitohs on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday afternoon, Kearney indicated that Harris-Tavita will be kept in the number six jersey to partner Blake Green in the halves once more.
"He'll be a good chance," Kearney told media.
"I thought he was also the recipient of an improved team performance - that always helps.
"I thought he did his job pretty well on Friday. The NRL is another big challenge for a young half.
"He's coming up against a pretty slick outfit in South Sydney. I know he's looking forward to it."
The Warriors' team to face the Rabbitohs will be named later today.
