Blues veteran James Parsons has re-signed with the Auckland Super Rugby franchise until 2021, saying he wants to stick around for the good times.
The 32-year-old believes, who's been with the Blues since 2011, says he has unfinished business in New Zealand and is happy to stay put in Auckland.
"I suppose at the end of it this is home. This is where I am most happy and I think when I am happy I am playing my best footy," said Parsons.
"The nuts and bolts, I haven't achieved what I wanted to achieve. I want to have success in both the Blues jersey and the Harbour jersey, so that is probably the biggest reason."
The Blues have won their past four Super Rugby games and look to be real contenders for the play-offs.
"It's no secret that most people make us the butt of their jokes, I don't want to be sitting from afar watching a team that I have given a lot to have that success.
"I want to be here and be a part of it and I think with this coaching group we can do that."
There have been several more re-signings at the Blues today, with Otere Black, TJ Faiane, Sione Mafileo, Stephen Perofeta and Tom Robinson re-signing until 2021.
While Blues winger Caleb Clarke has re-signed with the Auckland franchise until 2022.
