An Auckland private school known for producing top rugby players has sold one of its sites to the Auckland Hebrew Congregation.
Saint Kentigern’s has sold its Remuera Road site, which currently houses its girls' school and preschool, to the Hebrew congregation.
"This outcome follows a competitive tender process in which we were very pleased by the high level of interest shown in the property, and particularly delighted to see that it will now continue to meet the needs of another faith-based community," Dr John Kernohan, Chairman of the Trust Board, said.
"We understand that the Auckland Hebrew Community may also be using some of the campus as an educational facility, which sits very well with its heritage with both Saint Kentigern and Corran School before us.
"Pleasingly, this outcome provides for continued uninterrupted use of the Remuera Road campus by our Girls’ School and Preschool until they move to their new facilities at the Shore Road campus."
Saint Kentigern says the sale gives them "financial certainty" on their Shore Road campus.
