Crusaders winger Will Jordan is crediting now-retired All Black Israel Dagg, following his double in last night's 36-14 victory over the Brumbies in Christchurch.
With 30-year old Dagg having pulled the pin on his playing career earlier this week, the 66-Test veteran will stay on with the Crusaders in a mentoring role , with his impact on the likes of Jordan and fellow youngster Sevu Reece all too apparent in last night's win.
In a stunning second half, both Jordan and Reece scored two tries each, as the Crusaders' class shone through for a well earned win over their Australian opposition.
Speaking to media after the match, Jordan spoke of Dagg's influence, with the 2011 World Cup winner running drinks during last night's win.
"We've got to give a lot of credit to Izzy Dagg," Jordan said.
"He came up to us at halftime, just talked about how as wingers we can look for more work, show the team energy and stuff.
"We've definitely got a licence to go and roam if the space is there. I've got to give credit to Izzy for seeing that space in the first half, and cueing us on it."
