The Crusaders are ready for an emotional homecoming next weekend, as they prepare for their first Super Rugby match at home since the March 15 Christchurch terrorist attacks.
After the shootings at two separate mosques that left 50 dead and dozens more injured, the Crusaders have played matches away in both Sydney and Wellington, and will take the field at AMI Stadium against the Brumbies next weekend.
Speaking to media after last night's 32-8 win over the Hurricanes, coach Scott Robertson said that his side were aware of the importance of next week's clash.
"We're always in the community, it's open gates to rugby park and we'll reconnect with them as much as we can with them this week for sure," Robertson said.
"Obviously we couldn't be at the service today, but our thoughts and prayers were with everyone.
"Sure watching the TV tonight, and make sure we play our part in the community next week as we always do. It's special, like I mentioned before, the Crusaders are a special part of our region.
"We know that we represent them, and we're really proud of what we did tonight and proud of how they showed respect today."
