State Highway 25A is open again after six people were injured in a multi-car crash in the Coromandel early this afternoon.


St John tweeted saying they were attending the scene on the Kopu-Hikuai Road with two ambulances.


They transported two patients away with serious and moderate injuries to Waikato, and Thames hospital. Four other people have suffered minor injuries.

Police were alerted to the crash around 12.50pm.
