Elderly pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Wellington

A man in his 80's has died after being hit by a car in Miramar, Wellington today.

Police and emergency services attended the crash on Broadway, Strathmore this morning at about 8.10am where a car collided with the elderly pedestrian.

The man died at the scene. No one else was injured in the crash.

The Coroner has been notified and the Serious Crash Unit has examined the scene.
