The Hurricanes team will be without All Blacks hooker Dane Coles for this Friday’s clash with the Crusaders in Wellington.
Coles, 32, has been scratched from the Hurricanes side due to a calf strain and is expected to return to rugby action next week.
"He's got a calf strain, hopefully he will be alright for next week," said Hurricanes coach John Plumtree.
"But it wasn't going to recover in time for this week. He's out, which is pretty disappointing - that's just the way it goes."
All Blacks halfback TJ Perenara and second-five Ngani Laumape return for the Hurricanes after being rested last week against the Stormers.
Jordie Barrett moves back to the right after playing second-five last weekend.
Young flanker Du'Plessis Kirifi returns to the 23, named on the bench for the Hurricanes.
The last time the Hurricanes met the Crusaders, they were outclassed 38-22 in Christchurch last month.
