Blues enforcer Akira Ioane admits spirits are high in the Auckland rugby camp, but the team isn't getting too ahead of themselves as they prepare for the Stormers this Saturday at Eden Park.

Ioane, 23, spoke to media today in Auckland saying despite their current two match winning streak, that there is plenty of rugby to be played in 2019.

"We just got to make sure that we don’t get too ahead of ourselves," said Ioane.

"Still a long time till the last game, we are just worried about this week and this week only."

Rieko Ioane has scored six tries in his last two outings for the Blues, with his older brother Akira giving the All Blacks winger a bit grief about his workload around the rugby pitch.

"He hasn't been doing too bad, he's just been sitting out on the wing scoring all the tries and not doing anything else," Akira said.

"It's all good, he's doing well for himself and I am happy for him and how he is playing this year.

"Hopefully on Saturday he gets a few more, if not then hopefully our other winger Tanielu [Tele'a] does.

"We [forwards] are happy to do the work upfront for the boys out wide."

The Blues currently sit in fourth place on the New Zealand Super Rugby conference ladder.
