Within hours of the Christchurch terror attacks on Friday, a group of seasoned helpers sprung into action, collecting supplies for the families stuck behind the cordon.

It wasn't a government organisation or international NGO, but a bunch of Christchurch residents.

These Good Samaritans run a business called My Fathers Barber.

Cutting hair is their trade, but they also know how to cut through red tape and act fast when needed.

Seven Sharp paid them a visit yesterday, and came away impressed, humbled and inspired.
