Smoke billows from construction site in central Auckland

Emergency services are responding to a suspected fire at a construction site in central Auckland.

Smoke can be seen billowing from the building site on Graham Street.

There are four fire appliances currently at the scene.

All the construction workers have evacuated the site and are waiting on the footpath opposite the building.

A man who lives in the apartment building opposite told 1 NEWS the smoke is believed to be from a "plastic fire". However, this hasn't been confirmed.
