Hawke's Bay is experiencing a shortage of bus drivers, Go Bus says

March 11, 2019

Go Bus says the number of bus drivers in Hawke's Bay is so low they have resorted to bringing in drivers from other regions.

The company today appealed for new drivers in a statement, saying that Go Bus have drafted in spare drivers from other regions to ensure Napier and Hastings services operate.

Hawke's Bay Regional Council Transport Coordinator Megan Welsby said the council believes there is a national shortage of bus drivers, as well as in Hawke's Bay.

Go Bus said anyone interested in becoming a bus driver can email hawkesbay@gobus.co.nz or phone 06 878 9250.
