Canterbury teenage amateur golfer Kazuma Kobori was back on the green yesterday, after winning the New Zealand PGA event in Rangiora on Sunday.
The 17-year-old said he found it hard to sleep on Sunday night after winning the final round with a score 69, holding off his rivals with a four shot win.
"Yeah I've settled down a bit now, but last night I was definitely buzzing out, couldn't really get to sleep, unreal," said Kobori.
The North Canterbury teen played against the best seasoned professionals in Australasia.
"Yeah felt amazing, they [professional players] were really nice guys, got a nice conversation going in during the round."
Kobori hopes to one day be a professional and follow in the footsteps of his idol - Tiger Woods.
"Definitely Tiger, the amount of clutch puts he's made and the way he handles himself on the course is quite incredible and I hope to be like him soon."
