Wellington City Council delays e-scooter trial

Wellington’s e-scooter trial has been delayed by another week.

Scooters were meant to be hitting the city’s streets today on a six-month trial basis.

Wellington City Council spokesperson Richard MacLean says there’s been “inevitable delays” and the council is still working out the finer points of the trial.

Mr MacLean also told 1 NEWS that the council has not yet decided which of the six operators will be awarded the two available contracts.

He said more details can be expected later this week.
