The All Blacks Sevens have begun their Vancouver campaign in style, waltzing to an emphatic 45-7 victory in their opening pool match against France.
Having finished third at last week's Las Vegas tournament, New Zealand got the ball rolling immediately, with Sione Molia grabbing his team's first try of the tournament after just two minutes, on hand to finish after a quick tap and go after a penalty from Vilimoni Koroi.
Koroi would then turn from provider to scorer, crossing over for New Zealand's second, after Joe Ravouvou managed to stay in play after a burst down the sideline.
Next would be Ravouvou's turn to grab a try, this time Tone Ng Shiu winning the ball before setting up a perfect counter attack to add New Zealand's third.
France would hit back before the break though, Samuel Alerte crossing over to bring the scores back to 19-7 at halftime.
Tim Mikkelson wasted no time in the second half, grabbing his 212th career try as Ravouvou's creativity was again on display, notching another assist.
Sam Dickson also got his name on the scoresheet, finishing off a simple team play after some fancy footwork from Tone Ng Shiu.
France's day would go from bad to worse, when Remi Siega was shown a yellow card deep into the second half, cynically throwing the ball away after his side was penalised.
New Zealand went on to add two more tries, coming from Ng Shiu and Andrew Knewstubb, pushing the score out to 45-7, giving the All Blacks Sevens a brilliant win to open their Vancouver campaign.
New Zealand will next play Spain later this morning, before facing Australia in their final pool match this afternoon.
