Shot put world champion Tom Walsh has dominated the field for a 10th straight New Zealand title, taking first place at the national athletics championships in Christchurch.
Walsh, 27, threw a staggering 21.70 metres with his second-to-last throw of the evening, nearly a metre clear of his closest challenger, fellow Kiwi Jacko Gill, who threw 20.71m.
Poland's Konrad Bukowiecki finished third with 20.25m.
The win caps a brilliant 12 months for Walsh - seeing him lift the world indoor title, Commonwealth Games gold medal and the Diamond League as he builds towards next year's Olympic Games in Japan - having won bronze in Rio de Janeiro three years ago.
