The Hurricanes are in for a tough task against the in-form Brumbies in Palmerston North on Friday, big wing Ben Lam says.
The Wellington Super Rugby franchise are coming off a 38-22 loss to the Crusaders last Saturday, with the Brumbies crushing the Chiefs in Canberra last weekend 54-17.
Hurricanes winger Ben Lam knows the threats the Brumbies side possess across the park.
"We sort of know they have got the personnel. We’ve seen them play, they gave us a good run and actually beat us last year," said Lam.
"We know any team on the day with the personnel they have will play well."
Lam admitted he was a bit shocked by the score-line in the Brumbies' clash with the Chiefs.
"It was a bit of a surprise - to put up 50, I think we are ready this week to put in a better performance than we did last week," Lam said.
"We know for us it is a big week and we will be working pretty hard to get the result on Friday."
The last time the two teams met, the Hurricanes went down 24-12.
