Wales coach Warren Gatland is playing down talk of his side being World Cup title contenders, having gone top of the Six Nations this morning.

With a 21-13 win over England in Cardiff, Gatland's Wales are the only side left with a shot at a European Grand Slam at the halfway point in the competition.

Speaking to media after this morning's win though, Gatland wasn't getting carried away by any suggestion that Wales' Six Nations form would translate to the World Cup, beginning in September.

"Everyone was writing us off before so we're just happy to come under the radar," he said.

"We're not talking ourselves up. There's a long way before that comes."

This morning's win was also Wales' 12th Test consecutive victory, a record by Gatland's side.
