Police investigating armed robbery of supermarket in eastern Bay of Plenty

Police are investigating following an armed robbery in the eastern Bay of Plenty over the weekend.

A man entered a Four Square on Church Street, in Opotiki, armed with a knife on Saturday at around 9.15am, police said.

The man fled the scene with cash and cigarettes.

No one was injured in the incident.
