Police appeal for sightings of young boy in Gore prior to three-year-old's death

Gore police are seeking assistance from members of the public to assist in an investigation into the death of a three-year-old boy.

Police are asking for anyone who may have seen a three-year-old boy on Salford Street in Gore between 8:45pm and 9:30pm on Tuesday 29 January.

The boy is described by police as having "mousy blonde hair and was wearing a high-visibility vest and shorts".

Police say the boy was found "unresponsive in a pond near Grasslands Road" around 11:15pm on the same evening.

Anyone with information that may help enquiries is encouraged to contact Gore Police on 03 203 9307.
