Self-proclaimed "King of R&B" R. Kelly has announced he will include New Zealand in an up and coming tour.
The Ignition (Remix) singer took to Twitter to announce the tour which will also feature Australia and Sri Lanka.
"See y'all soon," he captioned it.
While R. Kelly used his personal account to make the announcement, no finalised details have been released about dates and venues.
This comes after a planned performance by R. Kelly at the Trusts Arena in Auckland was cancelled last month by his old promoters Big Music Tour, leading the singer to team up with new promoter Flamingo Dreamz for today's announcement.
1 NEWS has reached out to Immigration New Zealand for confirmation of any application for a New Zealand visit by the solo artist.
The announcement comes as the 52-year-old is under investigation for multiple claims of sexual misconduct.
US police launched the investigation after a six-part documentary series around survivors of the alleged assaults shared their stories, claiming years of sexual coercion, exploitation and physical abuse they endured at his hands.
R. Kelly denies the allegations and says he intends to sue everyone involved in the doco - including the alleged victims.
