Despite being on an impressive 48-game unbeaten streak, the Black Ferns Sevens want more from themselves heading into the rest of the current World Sevens Series.

With victory in Sydney last night, the Black Ferns Sevens have now gone 48 games across the World Series, World Cup and Commonwealth Games, without tasting defeat.

Arriving back into New Zealand, captain Sarah Hirini says that the team aren't planning on stopping any time soon.

"I hope it keeps continuing on until I retire at least," she told 1 NEWS.

"It's just amazing, we never sit on what we've won in the past. We always want to grow and get better.

"We're such a competitive team, we don't want to let any of our standards slip. The girls are working pretty hard at home to make sure that doesn't happen."
