One person dead after Bay of Plenty motorcycle crash

A 24-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle crash in rural Bay of Plenty this evening.

Police said the crash took place about 6.35pm on State Highway 38 near Murupara.

The man was treated at the scene by emergency services, but he could not be revived.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
