The All Blacks Sevens have strolled to a 28-5 quarter-final victory against France on the final day of the Sydney Sevens at Spotless Stadium.

Having gone unbeaten on yesterday's opening day, New Zealand struggled to break through early on, taking until the fifth minute of the first half to open the scoring.

Jona Nareki eventually crossed over with Andrew Knewstubb adding the extras for a 7-0 lead.

Regan Ware grabbed another on the stroke of halftime, Knewstubb again converting to send the All Blacks Sevens into halftime 14-0 ahead.

Sam Dickson grabbed the first points of the second half, taking a quick tap from a penalty to crash over from close range and score, Vilimoni Koroi this time converting.

France would peg back a try of their own, as Thibaud Mazzoleni managed to cross over after a quick tap and go from a penalty.

However New Zealand would prove too great an obstacle for France to overcome, with Tone Ng Shiu scoring after the siren, seeing the All Blacks Sevens into the semi-final.

New Zealand will face Hamilton Sevens champions Fiji in the tournament semi-finals later tonight.
