India will see their playing stocks bolstered for the rest of their New Zealand tour after their cricket board announced today they'd lifted suspensions enforced on Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul.
The duo were suspended and sent home during their tour of Australia earlier this month after comments they made about women on a television show.
However, the BCCI says the bans have been "lifted pending appointment and adjudication of the allegations" against the pair.
Both players have apologised to the BCCI for the controversy.
The BCCI said all-rounder Pandya will fly out to New Zealand "at the earliest" while Rahul will join India A for the last three matches of their series towards the end of January.
The pair were suspended after they appeared on Koffee with Karan - a popular celebrity talk show hosted by Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar.
Pandya spent time on the show speaking about "hook-ups" he'd had with several women and added he liked to observe women at bars or nightclubs.
Rahul was more reserved with his comments but still suffered the same punishment.
