Rockfall forces closure of State Highway 73 at Arthur's Pass

January 24, 2019

State Highway 73 is closed between Arthur’s Pass and Otira because of rock fall and high-water levels at Kelly's Creek.

The highway was closed overnight as contractors worked to clear the road.

An update is expected at 8am.
