Man's body found on Northland beach

A man's body has been found on a Northland beach this morning.

Police were called to Mangawhai Heads Beach where the body was discovered at 11.30am.

The man had been swimming before he was found unresponsive by members of the public.

CPR was performed, but was unsuccessful.

His death has been referred to the Coroner.
